Full in the middle of the region called Corbières, some kilometres far from Lagrasse
, this very beautiful village of medieval kin takes place.
In these wild surroundings, in which there are maquis, vineyards and red hills, Villerouge-Termenès is known to be the theatre of the lawsuit and the execution of the last one of the perfects "Cathar priest", Guilhem Belisbaste, in 1321.

In the southwest of the village rises its impressive castle of which the first tracks date from the twelfth century. Property of the Archbishoprics of the city of Narbonne
, this monument has an irregular right-angled shape, with in the 4 angles of the round towers which the highest is the donjon.
In the room of the castle, a very interesting audiovisual exhibition, tells the life of the last perfect and the Narbonne bishop's palace
. During summer, great medieval meals are cooked in the yard of the castle. No excuse to miss that !
