The meteorological observatory of the Mountain Aigoual was built in 1887.
This imposing building built like a fortified castle inspires respect. It was in fact necessary to be built in this way to face the excessive storms in winter.
From here, you can catch clouds with hands. When the weather allows it, you can admire beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The panorama shows you rare and rarely revealed horizons.
