Created in 1892, Museum of Nimes
is one of both only ones museum of Languedoc - Roussillon.
Installed(settled) around a convent and around a chapel classified of the XVII-th century, it(he) shelters collection raising(finding) all the domains of the sciences of the nature and the certain sectors of the human sciences.

Museum of Nimes entered phase of renovation.
Thematic at present only three are presented to the public: the prehistory, the exotic ethnography and the zoology (mammals and reptiles).
A modern module on Straps and temporary exhibitions complete the route(course) of the visit.
The museum is opened, except Monday and holidays (in January 1-st, in May 1-st, in December 25) from 11. 00 till 18. 00 and du1er in April on December 30 from 10. 00 till 18. 00.
