Steam train of Cevennes
On a bridge.

A whistle, a jet of steam and the locomotive moves off to rush into a long tunnel.


In that way starts, in opened wagons or in the ancient comfort of the former elegant cars, a journey of 13 kilometres between Saint-Jean-du-Gard and Anduze , plenty in the middle of the region Cevennes. Several bridges and tunnels cross the admirable landscapes of the valley of the Gardon

In stations, drivers and mechanics will explain you the functioning of the steam engine that they restored with passion.

If you want it, you can have 2 hours free between two trains to visit the Bambouseraie (a forest of bamboos) , which the railroad line crosses.
