Aramon

The church Holy Pancrase

Of Celtic origin, Aramon would have been born on the banks of the river Rhone because of the construction of a sanctuary dedicated to the god Jupiter-Ammon.

Please, cross the centuries, from the Holy church Saint Pancrase twelfth century to the hotel Choisity (sixteenth -seventeenth centuries), stroll through its alleys, look at the beautiful knowledge of the Ancients, up to the castle which dominates the village and which welcomed, in the sixteenth century, Diane of Poitiers, Lord of Aramon.

Aramon possesses numerous equipments which allow to each to practise a multitude of activities. Paths marked out or not, will allow you short strolls or real rides in the nature.

The hills of Dève, of ecological interest, characteristics of the regional heritage, as the Alpilles, show a big Mediterranean variety of plants sweetly smelling the region named Provence. It will be possible for you, if you want it, to have a picnic beneath the sharp cliff (140m) and get cool at its source.

The centre of the village, very active with its great number of trades and services is more typical on Wednesday morning with its Provencal market. The Office of Tourism will guide you for your long and small stays.
