Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort leaned in the foothills of Cevennes, rocked by the song of cicadas, is situated in the department of the Gard in 50 km in the northeast of Nimes and at equal distance in the North of Montpelier . It is an administrative centre of canton of 3465 inhabitants (1999) with any businesses.
