became Roman. Its antique past is redrawn by the archaeology throughout amphoras, dolium, Greek and Roman ceramics...
Situated in the middle of the city, the museum agathois preserves the wealth of the city of Agde. Located in a hotel the Renaissance, in which Mgr. Fouquet had settled charitable work in the seventeenth century, it shows the way of life of Agathe from the antiquity to nowadays.

The subjects are varied and describe the history of the city particularly its folklore and its wine and maritime activities. The great number of inside reconstructions shows you the daily life of former days.
