Perched at the top of Varennes's hotel, in premises given by the city, Fougau, home)(foyer) presents fascinating one collection of objects which evoke the life in the last century: a dress of grisette, embroidered(exaggerated) clothes, cage with cricket, a box with heating brick, a sewing machine gloves, one squeezes(tightens) brake of cart, a grill with coffee(cafe), scissors to cut the vineyard, games of mail, Christmas crib figures...

The main room reconstitutes a scene of domestic life around a monumental fireplace with manequins dressed in suits of time, in furniture, the dishes, the durable articles. All the presented objects, including the fireplace, result from gifts(donations). The variety and the abundance of these gifts(donations) allow to realize, several times a year, in a second room, presentations on varied subjects.
The museum of Fougau was based by the association " Lou Parage " created in 1875 and chaired by Marc Lanza, " Cabiscol ", (leader of school). " Parage " is an old from the Languedoc and French word which practically disappeared from the language. It(he) indicated(appointed) the nobility of the heart and the spirit, accessible(approachable) to all by the knowledge and the merit.
