The city called La Grande Motte, and its famous pyramidal houses conceived by the architect Jean Balladur, has been the first experimental seaside resort to be created and coming within the framework of the tourist Plan of the region Languedoc-Roussillon.
The situation is exceptional being located at the gateway to the region called Camargue, it is the ideal starting place to visit the Gaul Roman, Provence, and the backgrounds of the region.

The environment and the way of life are big advantages for the seaside resort which is surrounded with 224 hectares of green spaces covering the third of the surface of the city.
