Capestang, in the department of the Hérault, enjoys a privileged situation, in the crossroads of the road of beaches, Regional park of High Languedoc, of the axis Béziers - Narbonne and Béziers- Carcassonne

Being situated around a pond rich in an omithologique fauna, the beautiful castle of the XII-th century and the impressive Saint-Etienne collegiate church of Gothic style which dominates down from its tower all the plain of the Aude until Narbonne , deserves a visit.

The Collegiate church consists of a vast nef unique(only), in the beautiful keystones and in the vitreaux beautiful. Also, followed by the canal of Noon offering magnificent shades to the walkers, Capestang deserves a bend for a stopping place on the road of wines.

The village keeps(preserves) still some pieces of the former(old) fortifications, its central place is a place of discoveries and meetings, in particular a Wednesdays and Sundays mornings days of market.
