By its geographic situation, the place that it(he) occupies on average mountain, in the confluence of two rivers - Lergue and Soulondre - its(his) position hinge between plain and mountains, in headaway(overhang) of Limestone plateaus, Lodévois possesses this variety which one looks for in back - country.

Peace of mind of places, big spaces of quite close Larzac, silence of forests, laziness of scrublands in summer, coolness of rivers tumbling down summits, serene rigour of hills, majesty of circuses lined with cliffs which encircle the Southern side of the "tray("plateau"), Lodévois stands out itself as ideal centre of drives(rides).

Lodève is in the hollow of a hand fingers of which are so many valleys which penetrate profoundly, the Limestone plateau. They are the valleys of the Plans (sprayed by Soulondre), of Campestre (with Isarn), with Lauroux (where pours Lauronet), of Soubès (on the edges of Brèze), of Fozières, so many fresh(cool) and green cases.
