Office of Intermunicipal Tourism of the Road of the Glassworkers in Country of Hortus in the Hérault : Campagne - Claret - Ferrières-les-Verreries - Garrigues - Lauret - Sauteyrargues - Vacquières - Valflaunès.
For more than five centuries, the road of the Glassworkers and more exactly the limestone plateau of Hortus welcomed dynasties of glass-blowers. It is by royal act that is going to be passed on glassworker's profession. Signed in 1445, the charter of Sommières
where was held glassworkers' syndicate of Languedoc, règlemente the learning of glassworker's profession and "the prohibition to the long-distance lorry drivers or to the noble persons lowering(going down) no glassworkers".
Campagne : In the suggestive name, Campaign, carries(wears) of the road of the Glassworkers, is connected with the tauromachiques gardoises traditions. In Moyen-Age, it is a stage of pélerinage towards Saint-Jacques de Compostelle. Martinmas makes(does) it a stopping place and cures the population of " badly white ".

Discovery of the village and its attractions during the pedestrian path of discovery.
Ferrières-les-Verreries : A 320 m of height, on the site protected from the limestone plateau of Hortus. First tracks of environment from the paleolithic. In the 13th century the seignerie belongs to the Count Bishop of Maguelone
, and appear the forested glassworkers, activity which continues until the Revolution.
