In the extremity West of Thau's pond, between sea, vineyards and ponds, Marseillan holds(detains) the privilege to associate the charm of a sea resort, with his(her) beaches of fine sand, and the charm of a village based in the 6th century before J.C.

How not to be seduced by the small port(bearing) where fishermen and sailors cross themselves and mix in a friendly atmosphere.


In the center of the village, the old streets reveal a structures rich in history : Halle black stone constructed covering with a skeleton lined in Venetian, the facades of particular hotels decorated with Agde's volcanic stone sculptures dating 16th , 17th and 18th centuries, the church Saint-Jean-Baptiste of the XVII-th century...


On the place of the Republic, raises itself(draws up itself) the most ancient(former) Marianne stone of France, registered on the inventory of ancient memorials.

Thanks to his(her) exceptional position, Marseillan knew how to develop the will of a dynamic station while protecting the authenticity of a village faithful to his(her) traditions of go fishing, of shellfish farming and vine growing.
