Lanuéjols's mausoleum is a temoin of wealth and paganism. The monument is of an exceptional interest because it is one of the very rare examples of architecture funeral in Long pole, and the only one in France with that of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
The excellent conservation, because only the coverage disappeared, strengthens still its architectural exemplary nature. This quality is due to the position of the mausoleum below which led(drove) waters of streaming to bury him(it)

almost totally, saving him(it) so from the destruction promised to any ruin situated around a village, to see itself converted by the inhabitants in stony career. Built in the limestone extracted from the nearby limestone plateau, the monument is built in big device: the quadratum opus already observed first for Mende's grave (in lively joints, that is without mortar).
It(he) has the shape of a small classic Roman temple raised(brought up) on a pedestal, adopting the plan in free cross. The central cella is a square flanked(thrown) by three oblong niches. The mausoleum was surrounded with a stone trench of size which widens in the northerly angle in a small oblong pond, dug in a single stony block.
Penetrating into the building, one notices the lateral niches where was doubtless placed the sarcophaguses of both deceaseds and the central niche which credibly contained their statues. The central cup(cutting) is a bowl more well-kept than both others. Even there, in spite of the wear of the centuries, one will appreciate the sculptural quality.
