This building is a very successful example of the mixing of Romanic and Gothic art. Built beside the cathedral
, between the twelfth and the fourteenth century, the monks of the chapter took the habit to have a walk there.
You will be amazed by such a beauty and such a refinement. Four galleries, more beautiful one than the others, were built in different periods and make however of it a monument of a huge conformity, with an opening on a charming garden.

Please, take your time to look at the semi-detached columns and the capitals, on which you will discover magnificent sculptures representing sometimes men, sometimes fantastic monsters or sometimes stylised leaves. In this very particular atmosphere, please, let you go on strolling and meditation.
Don't miss to see : the museum of archaeology which is in the Chapel Holy Laurent of the twelfth century, and the museum of History which is situated in the chapter houses of the fourteenth century. No excuse to miss it !
