Small village of Aspre ( dry earth)(ground), situated on the verge of Ribéral ( irrigated earth)(ground), Saint-Michel-de-Llotes is a soil of contrasts where mixed two forms of agriculture, the first on irrigated lands (cereal, fruit trees, truck farming), the second on the dry côteaux (vineyards, olive trees).
Arboriculture and truck farming, at instigation of the modernization, got bit by bit the upper hand over the domestic exploitation, of characteristic autosufficiency of this soil of Aspre during centuries, modifying by the same the structure of the village.
The museum presents this rich variety through tools and machines exposed(explained) in a pleasant and educational way : six room, more than 400 tools to relive the time of the ploughings and the sowing, the work of the vineyard and the harvest, the girls

Fresco evoking the harvest, model of a mas, charettes redraws the daily life in the course of the seasons, which to 1950's animated(stimulated) "mas" and " veïnats " (grouping mas).
