On the steps of pilgrims travelers who, since Moyen-Age made(did) stage for the Hospici d' Illa, please , enter this exceptional monument where, in the course of alcôves, are presented all year round different aspects of the patrimony through temporary exhibition " Plants and Gardens of Moyen-Age ".
Hospici d' Illa suggests you discovering two of the essential periods of the history of the department through three permanent exhibitions :
- Glances on the Catalan patrimony : you will discover the wealth of medieval period in the patrimony of the department of Oriental Pyrenees through Casesnoves's murals, front of Romanic altar, Romanic virgins, altarpiece novel, silversmith's trade XI-th and XV-th centuries.
- The Run-up Catalan builder : this exhibition presents the keys of understanding of time the baroque through the historic, economic, religious and social context of the XVII-th and XVIII-th centuries.
- The Art of the altarpiece :please , discover the profession of " tallers of carpenters' fusters-studios(fusters-workshops) " and that of the painters gilders through the conditions of realization of the altarpieces of the XVII-th century.
