Arles sur Tech

Abbey Benedictine

Arles-sur-Tech is located in the middle of Vallespir between the towns named Prats-de-Mollo and Amélie-les-Bains .

This spot of typically Catalan traditions (traditional and religious), already inhabited by Romans (interested in the iron mines of the Canigou ), is a nice town possessing a rich historical heritage .

A lot of tourists are attracted by this place because of the Holy Grave joined side by side to the charming Abbey Benedictine saint-Marie .

This city will enchant you throughout your whole stroll with its church Saint Sauveur dating from the fourteenth century and its convent dating from the end of the thirteenth century, its small typical alleys, its houses with wrought iron balconies and especially by the kindness of its shopkeepers and also its inhabitants.

This small village is famous for the manufacture of Catalan clothes and also for the small cakes named "Rousquille". To consume not moderately ! ...

Close to this place are the gorges de la Fou and the tiny small village named Corsavy with its abbey.
