the biggest site of Roman ceramic of the Antiquity. In Ier century AD, more than 600 potters' studios(workshops) made a dishes in red, said sigillée terra-cotta, which was exported in all the Roman empire.

One finds them in all Western Europe and in the Middle East, recognizable by their particular decorations and by the signatures of the potters.

One can see potters' studios(workshops) with stores of clay, ponds of settling, hairdryers with pottery, ovens and enormous garbage dumps of hoarse or badly cooked dishes.
One also discovered(found) sanctuaries and living houses.

The sigillée ceramic is a dishes in terra-cotta, very often stamped by means of awls (in Latin "sigilla"). She(it) is characterized by her(its) aspect uniformly red, brilliant, semi-glazed.
Vases(muds) without decoration had simply risen to the tour. The decorated objects were realized by means of moulds(mussels) of earth(ground), inside which had been beforehand printed a decoration in hollow.

One obtained so series of objects carrying(wearing) these same relief decorations, outside.

All the production was cooked in 1000°C in big ovens with wood.

A single bakery could contain until 40   000 objects.

Collections are presented to the Museum of Millau .
