Commanderie des Hospitaliers de Saint-Jean is the only one in France having kept(guarded) her Hospitable vocation with for mission the reception of the Old Persons in Home(foyer) Flats.
In the XIII-th century, the castle of the Commanders was established(constituted) by a square main building, flanked(thrown) by 4 round towers: 3 strengthened outside towers, one in inner courtyard smaller not strengthened. Regrettably two of them in poor condition were partially dismantled. The current entrance(entry) was modified.
Commanderie de Lugan was united with that of Auzits with whom she had 13 common commanders from 1181 till 1623. Commanderie d' Auzits was then connected in Espalion
. Lugan had his(her) own commanders until the Revolution

Of Moyen-Age in the Renaissance, the ownership of a dovecote was a privilege reserved for the nobility, the breeding of the pigeons he, was more democratic in the South. The erection of a dovecote turret became after the Revolution a way of presenting to the sight of all, its social row(rank) and its wealth, until certain houses keep(preserve) it only the image without flight, or pigeon naturally.
