Neighbour of the department of Cantal, it(he) is established(constituted) by 5 Municipalities :
Entraygues (to the left) : be situated in the confluence of the Lot and the Truyère. Between waters, as the name indicates it.
Quoted which(who) would have been based in the middle of the XIII-th century, doubtless at the same time as the castle built by Henri II, count of between 1278 and 1290 Rodez.

The first conglomeration should be to Saint Georges (rest of a former(ancient) building of more important Gothic style when it was parochial church, on a terrace).
The town was strengthened towards 1357 : 13 towers were connected by ramparts (vestiges), the quite surrounded of ditches. The village kept(preserved) alleys with medieval character (covered "cantous" passages), houses of 15th and 17th s, some in half-timberings and corbelled construction.
Of the castle burned in 1604, it(he) remains 2 tours(towers) (left power plant reconstructed in the 17th century, by Henri de Monvalat, Lords d' Entraygues).
Fel : This municipality among which the tray(plateau) which touches the department of Cantal towards Montsalvy, stages then towards the valley of the Lot by hillsides in terraces (former(old) " coltades ") which decorated with flowers formerly a vineyard, partially disappeared but which is reborn today.
This vineyard left its good name with Fel by the wine and the "cabécous" ( goat's milk cheese) which are strictly associated to him(her). Wine growers' small restored houses give a feeling reception to a landscape which could seem hostile.
