Being quoted medieval of the most picturesque situated in the North Aveyron (province of the Rouergue ), in the entrance(entry) of Fill with the Lot, at feet of Aubrac's mountains, a landscape of terraces.

Estaing, by his(her) patrimony, his(her) history through centuries presents very big charm. The village is perched in the bend of the road, on a rocky spur in the parade of the throat(breast) with in the centre the impressive mass of the castle in overhang of its proud square, slim donjon, put on(beaten) by a bulb.

Estaing in the course of the centuries set of the importance by his(her) very rich patrimony with :

- The Gothic bridge on the Lot,
- The castle builds by the successive generations of the counts of Estaing,
- The church was dedicated to Saint foil, boss of the city,
- The Chapel of Ouradou...
