Village of mountain lined by tempestuous waters of the Verdon, Colmars is characterized especially by its beautiful classic military architecture.
He owes him(it) to his role of keystone of the French defensive system when the border was just a step from the village.

Today, Colmars is a tourist town which welcomes summer as winter, the lovers of the mountain and the nature.

The intense religious life in the town also left numerous testimonies of a big interest : the beautiful bell tower of ironworks of the chapel of the Virgo, surmounting a pinnacle of varnished tiles(blows), reminds that Colmars, mountain village belongs well to the Provence.
