The village pulls(fires) its fame of the Rotonde with which the silhouette in trunk crowns the mound around which anticipates stony houses. This donjon establishes(constitutes) the most former(ancient) civil testimony of the Provençal Romanic art.

Today, the landscape which surrounds Simiane indicates the importance of the production of lavender and of lavandin in the agricultural economy. It is in July when the plain hides of bluish tints and wraps(surrounds) itself with steams perfumed.

In the village opened studios(workshops) of art and craft. Finally every summer, the Rotonde serves as magnificent frame in a festival of ancient(former) music of international fame and in exhibitions.

Simiane-la-Rotonde's patrimony :
- (12th) rotunda(back seat) and Castle (12th-16th s),
- Church saint - Victoire (16th century),
- Gate(portal) of the house Montjallard (Coubine ex-workshop), carry(wear) sculptured, Halle coverings (16th s).
