"The city of Serres is a history in images. She(it) is very beautiful when one discovers her(it) since the road, hung on(collided) on the bizarre cliff where one calls Pignolette.
Facades in floors give the impression(printing) to bend the some by top the others to look at Buëch to cascade in their feet before taking off towards Sisteron.
And when one penetrates into the town, it is the delight: the placette with arches, the sculptured, decorated with flowers windows all summer long, the district of the coast which lives a spectacular every beginning of August when all the inhabitants illuminate him(it) with Chinese lanterns and with candles.
There is also a Romanic church of the 12th century, a Hebraic grave of the same time, a chapel Saumane and a particular hotel of the supreme commander of Lesdiguières, a proud companion of Henri 4, and all the recollections of the religious wars.

In surroundings, harvests of images is not commonplace. One has the prehistory with the Collar of Tourettes, the Gauls almost everywhere and Romans in Bastie-Montsaléon, the Mountain Seleucus of which speaks Tite-Live, all the 12th with the castles of Montrond, Savournon, Montclus, then the 16th with that of Phyllis de Charce to Montmorin.
And everywhere old fountains, former(old) farms which speak about the life in the country, and all this in magnificent landscapes of mountains and the valleys. You see, for me, Serrois, it is an appearance(mine) of discoveries with opened sky".
