Bar-sur-Loup, "the town of Orange trees".

Administrative centre of Canton of 2 543 inhabitants it is a perched village, dominating the average valley of the Wolf.

Built on a rocky spur, among Grasse and Vence , in 320 metres in height, it(he) is on a privileged site which was occupied by the Celts, the Gauls, the Ligures (750 avenue. JC.) and Romans (125 avenue. JC.).

Bar-sur-Loup was from the dawn of times, dedicated to the nurse of the Gorges(breasts) of the Wolf, road of invasion of the different troops which wanted to penetrate more before in Provence. The castle, the ramparts and the vestiges of the Donjon in which is the Office of Tourism, is the witness of it.
