Menton is situated near Italian Riviéra and hardly in 30 km from Nice and from the Country of Grasse . Orange-coloured sweetness or slightly acid liveliness of the lemon, Menton is obviously the earth(ground) of preference of citrus fruits. The Legend tells moreover that Eve would have planted here a lemon stolen from the paradise.

In the borders of Côte d'Azur and the ligures Alps, the Seigneury of Menton appeared to the XII-th century. Become Charles Grimaldi's property, Lord of Monaco in 1346, the city will opt for its fastening with France in 1860.

The History and the literature invited here big names, such as Robert Stevenson, Guy de Maupassant, Gustave Flaubert but also the empress Eugénie or queen Victoria. Their memory(report) promenades in the flavor of the numerous gardens or in the intimacy of stones of these houses and palace which make(do) of Menton a shop window of the centuries, a city of dreams where every step is a journey in the discovery of a renewed art of living.
