Being built on a rocky spur, which dominates the plain irrigated by Craponne's canal, Lançon-de-Provence is a very former(ancient) village with Provençal character, situated at the edge of the national 113.

Lançon-de-Provence has a very rich architectural patrimony : very medieval castle of the 11-th century, vestiges of three ramparts of the 13-th , 14-th and 16-th centuries when remain several tours(towers) of various architectural styles.

Several pages of the history of Provence are looked back, in the bend of its alleys (district Marone), by its numerous buildings of medieval times or revival, church of the 14-th and 17-th centuries, house said about "Knight Templars" or Foresta's hotel builds in 16-th century in the style revival.

All this give to the old village the charm of formerly.

Activities : pony and pedestrian treks, ball, media library, swimming pool (in July and August).
