The Museum of the Artillery presents an impressive collection of former(ancient) artillery, ammunitions and historic reconstructions.

Slide shows are presented life-size and staged to allow to the guest to measure the human dimension of the event.

Former(ancient) certain materials appear under the shape of " small models ", the functional representations of the real machines of war. Models of time explain the behaviour(canal) of

the institution within the artillery. Reconstructions miniatures of battlefields and the exhibitions of recollections of campaign evoke these men(people) of exception who made(did) of the artillery the element of decision and the supreme argument of the fights.

A vidéogramme spread(diffused) in introduction prepares the guests for an exceptional journey through the big History of the French artillery.

A shop proposes you numerous objects recollections evoking the artillery and its history. A plaque illustrated on the museum is also available.


The entrance(entry) to the museum is free. The museum welcomes you all the workdays from Monday till Thursday from 8. 30 till 12. 00 and from 14. 30 till 18. 30. Friday from 8. 30 till 12. 00 and from 14. 30 till 17. 00.

Visits of groups and driven(guided) : for the visits of groups, the demand is to make 3 weeks before and send to Sir General, Commanding(ordering) the school of artillery Draguignan.
