The Museum of the Asiatic Arts of Toulon, presents on two levels 400 m2 of permanent exhibition of Asian collections acquired in Extreme East, in India, to the Tibet and in the South-East Asia by French collectors.
They were bequeathed to the city of Toulon
between 1892 and 1986.
The most important leg is that of Mr Fauverge de French.
200 m2, at the first floor, are dedicated to the temporary exhibitions, as well as to the shop of the museum.
The collections of Chinese art make us discover the archaeological miracles of the various dynasties from Shang until Song.

The decorative arts, the painting, the ceramic are represented in all their magnificence in the dynasties Ming and Qing.
Japan shows to us a fauna and a flora very stylized and present everywhere.
The room of the Tibet and Mongolia, such the temple Buddhist, exposes(explains) Lamaist objects and three magnificent Tangkas des XVIIe and XVIII-th centuries.
The Indian collections and those of indianisés countries offer a big variety of divinities worshipped in these civilizations, as well as testimonies on the episodes of Buddha's life.
Being opened every day except Monday and holidays from 12. 30 till 18. 00.
