Fayence had his(her) hour of glory when the bishops of Fréjus , Lords de Fayence, built their castle, place of holiday resort, which will be demolished on Montseigneur de Fleury's orders, future Cardinal and Minister of finances of Louis XV. In 1782, Fayence acquires(buys back) his(her) seigneurial rights for Fréjus's bishop's palace.
