"Tourves a village which has some memory"... It sees itself everywhere : on the walls of the caves ( prehistoric vestiges), on stones of the roads and the fields (vestiges gallo-Roman), on the walls of the houses and the chapels (Moyen-Age and modern time), in the eternal water of its river Caramy, its ponds, and the sources.

The village extends at feet of Valbelle's castle which the last Count embellishes by building one obelisk and a colonnade. This castle will be destroyed(annulled) by a fire (in the end of the XVIII-th century).

Just a step from the "Provençal mountains" of the Sainte-Baumes and of Sainte-Victoire, near the coast varois and big metropolises of the South (Marseille , Aix in Provence, Toulon ), in a recently baptized region "Green Provence" to underline this particular plant place setting where dominate the copses of white oaks and the greens and the Mediterranean smells of the thym, the pine, the rosemary and of the sariette.
