In the center of the Provençal height - Var, Cotignac is a village of character, in 60 km of the sea, Saint-Tropez
, between the Mediterranean Sea and Verdon.
The climate is there dry because of the absence of considerable streams.
Its class(course), its market, its numerous fountains, its open-air theater, its caves, its troglodytiques rooms, its restored calades, all these walks make of Cotignac a village typically Provençal.

One can there promenade along its narrow alleys and cool in terraces shaded by the class(course). The houses of villages are snuggled up at feet of the Cliff of Tuff the facade of which spreads out on 400 m with of gigantic stalacités and deep crevices which offer a fantastic spectacle. Guided tour of a guide.
At random alleys, one discovers the parochial church Our Lady John Dory of the XIII-th century, built in the pure Provençal Romanic art. At feet of the Bassillon, raises itself(draws up itself) Saint Joseph's convent belonging to the sisters Benedictines, in the heart of the pine forest, renewed with the cooperation of the architect Pouillon.
On the mountain Verdaille which dominates Cotignac was set up as 1519 the chapel Our Lady of Graces, where Anne of Austria and Louis XIV made(did) a memorable pilgrimage in 1660.
Cotignac, it is also this municipality for whom the economic development passes by a quality living environment, while protecting its patrimony and its natural resources.
