Charming small village at feet of the Sainte-Baume, Mazaugues means étymologiquement "Body of water". This village singularise by its mountain stamp due to its height in the coolness from its numerous sources.

The most famous are "Caramy and Issole". They begin their long progress through the Var, they are surrounded with hills the biggest of which dominate Mazaugues of their 900 m of height.
