With a little more than 100 inhabitants, Buoux presents a big interest in more than a domain.
Little away from the main road Marseille Apt
, and in some 7 km of this last city, the municipality of Buoux is situated in the exit(release) of the coomb of Lourmarin
, containing the valley of Ayguebrun which drains resurgent waters of this north side of the Grand Luberon

In this green sector, lined with high cliffs, and which evokes perfectly the intensity of the prehistoric life which characterized these places, opposes the dry environment(middle) of the tray(plateau) of the Claparèdes.
The current village of Buoux, in the valley of Loube, is situated between these two natural sectors so different.
The territory of Buoux is doubtless one of the richest in prehistoric Vaucluse in vestiges.
