In the Northwest limit of the mountains of Luberon, Lacoste sits in boss of places on the plain.
Squeezed(tightened) well, houses are arranged in terraces at feet of the ruins of the castle.

Friends guests, the Low street welcomes you with its small businesses. Please , pass under the former(old) doors of the medieval ramparts, admire facades in the beautiful windows the Renaissance with transoms and crosspieces, the chiselled doors, the entrances(entries) of said alleys "endrouno"... Before pursuing the visit of the High Village, please, take your breath on the Place of the Former(ancient) Temple or on the Place of the City hall and appreciate architecture and landscape.
By one of the caladées streets in the ancient(former), Street Sainte-Trophime or Street of Frescado, please, discover the Bell tower, one of the jewels of the village. The Gate(portal) of Goats(tackles) and the Door of the Nurse deserve a bend before reaching the Castle, highlight of the village. Although having become cosmopolitan, the village knew how to keep(preserve) its traditions and his(her) inhabitants some little original painters, sculptors knew how to welcome and integrate numerous artists... As well as an American school of art.
