Sainte Marie
Translated by software

Called "Beautiful Country" by the first colonists, this earth(ground) which extends of Sainte-Marie in Sainte-Suzanne by sloping towards the sea, possesses a fertile soil and sprayed well. The forest gave way to the culture, at first the wheat, then the spices and the vanilla, finally the sugar cane.

Today even, the best lands with stick are in this region. The village possesses still its station, an old cemetery, a church and a chapel. Near this chapel is interred the brother Scubilion, defender of the slaves.

There are to Sainte-Marie numerous big domains, but they are private and closed so to the public.
